AGM A9 has a pretty large 5.99inch LCD display of aspect ratio 18:9. Its 2160×1080 screen resolution offers the users an amazing graphics experience. It will provide a fascinating performance while watching movies & playing video games. A contrast ratio of 1500:1 & surface luminance of 500 cd/m2 certainly make it a real monster.




AGM is always cautious about the display section of their phones. AGM A9 display is followed by the same trend as well. There is large bezel located at the top of the phone. They have used rubber at the bottom edges of the phone to ensure sufficient protection. The sides of the phone are fully metallic whereas the back part is made of plastic.


The volume rocker & a dedicated button to launch Google Assistant have been placed on the left side the phone. The right side houses the power button & another dedicated button to launch the camera. Additionally, you can find a Sony camera, super-fast fingerprint scanner & the AGM logo on the rear part. 

There is also a sim card tray on the right side edge where you can insert two nano SIM cards or a nano SIM card & a microSD card at the same time. A noise cancelling mic & A USB Type-C port are placed on the top & bottom edges of the phone respectively.


Like other rugged phones, AGM A9 is also IP68 certified according to MIL-STD-810G. Because of this certification, it is a drop-proof phone. Even if it is dropped from 1.26m height at any angle, it doesn’t get cracked. It is a water-proof phone as well. 

According to the claim of AGM, it doesn’t get affected even if it is kept underwater at 1.5m depth. That means if you are a professional who have to work at a certain depth of water on a regular basis, you don’t have to worry if you use AGM A9.

In addition to that, it can survive under severe temperature too. Calling test was performed to check its efficiency from -25oC to 55oC. It survived successfully under such condition for 4 hours. It lasted for 96 hours during 5% salt fog test. It can accept from 10 to 500 Hz vibration by passing the vibration test for 2 hours. AGM claims AGM A9 is 90% dust-proof too. Thanks to its IP68 certification which has made it a very high-efficient rugged phone.


Camera Section

Nowadays most of the android phones have multiple rare cameras at the back. However, AGM didn’t feel the necessity to add more than one rare camera to the phone. The single Sony IMX 486 12MP rear camera helps to take excellent phones.

Different exclusive camera features like Portrait & HDR modes are available in the phone to give you photos with enough detail as well as color in each shot. That’s why you can snap variable photos as per your requirements. You can record videos at 1080p resolution by the camera which becomes slightly hazy while moving.

AGM A9 is powered by Snapdragon 450 processor which ensures lower power consumption by using 14nm technology. It might not be Qualcomm’s latest chipset, but it can perform in a decent way by providing faster connection, vibrant display &quality performance.

Its Octa-core 1.8 GHz Cortex A53 CPU & Adreno 506 GPU have helped effectively to upgrade its performance byminimizing battery draining problem. The performance is backed by three different RAM/ROM variants 3/32, 4/32 & 4/64 GB. For multi-tasking & lag-free user experience, the 4/64GB variant is the most suitable one.
